Notes from the curatorOne of the more delicious parts of our job is the recipe testing that goes on in the People’s Choice Tasting Kitchen. We are always searching for new flavors from around the world and we want to bring those special flavors directly to you. So every few months, we will offer one of our limited-edition, small batch flavors. Our goal is to deliver a sophisticated snacking experience that celebrates new ingredients while remaining true to our handmade tradition.

Tasting Kitchen Sriracha Beef Jerky
Handmade beef jerky slathered in iconic Sriracha Hot Sauce made with fresh jalapeño chili peppers. According to the Thai "Chomrom Rak Si Racha" (The Si Racha Lovers's Association) Sriracha sauce was first made by Burmese sawmill workers. The Burmese came to Sriracha to buy chillies, salt, vinegar, and sugar to pound in a mortar to make their sauce featuring a sweet fruity taste with sharp chili heat.
Whole cuts of beef are sliced, slathered with Sriracha sauce and all natural spices, and then slow-cooked for a minimum of two and a half hours.
The flavors that make Sriracha so special are highlighted in the flavor profile of this jerky - slight tanginess, subtle sweetness, and a kick of residual heat. Don’t be afraid, the flavor isn’t too spicy. With all of our jerky, we want the texture and flavor to still be meat-focused.
Ingredients:Beef, Sriracha (Chili, Sugar, Salt, Garlic, Distilled Vinegar, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Bisulfite And Xanthan Gum), Water, Distlled White Vinegar, Seasoning (Sea Salt, Spices, Garlic).
